Country Fair at Rosemark Rescheduled

New Date: Saturday, September 25, 2021

The Country Fair at Rosemark has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 25, 2021.  The Board of Historic Archives of Rosemark & Environs, Inc., after careful consideration of the most recent directives from the Shelby County Health Department, and after reports from our own COVID-19 Committee as well as the Executive Committee and the HARE Exhibitors Committee, voted at the last Board meeting to reschedule the Country Fair to Saturday, September 25, 2021.

The HARE Board is also announcing a recent and very significant gift to Historic Archives of 2.12 acres by the Flippin heirs of property at the northwest corner of Rosemark Road and Kerrville-Rosemark Road.  This will allow Historic Archives to expand the Fair footprint for 2021 with more parking, more spread-out exhibition space, a new museum component (“The Country Doctor’s Museum” in the original office of Dr. Peter J. Flippin), and a significantly increased shaded area for both parking and picnicking.  This is an exciting new development about which we will be posting more.

Please also follow this website for postings of additional HARE events and scheduling.

The traditional Rosemark Christmas Tree Lighting is to take place on Sunday, December 6, 2020 with an initial program in the sanctuary of Richland Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 8658 Rosemark Road, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with the lighting of the tree at 5:30 p.m.  Please join us for this community event.

The Bobby Blue Bland Day Committee is also actively working to schedule that event in Barretville, Tennessee to take place in June 2021.
